National Christian College Fair Held Sept. 15 in Rocklin

William Jessup University, Bayside Church hosting college planning event

ROCKLIN, Calif. (OBSNews.com) – Wondering what distinguishes a Christian university from other institutions of higher learning? Discover the differences at this year’s National Christian College Fair co-sponsored by William Jessup University and Bayside Church on Tuesday, September 15.

Representatives from over 30 regional and national Christian colleges and universities will be available to speak with students, parents, pastors and school counselors from 6-8 p.m. at Bayside Church, 8191 Sierra College Blvd.

This is a unique opportunity to discover how a Christian education may be an important part of your college future. It is the only college fair this year of its kind in the greater Sacramento area.

“All too often private higher education is viewed as cost-prohibitive when families search for the ‘right fit’ school,” said Vance Pascua, who is the fair coordinator and William Jessup’s Director of Admission. “This college fair is a great way to learn more about the affordability and the advantages of attending colleges and universities like William Jessup and the many other institutions represented from California and nationally.”

View displays, gather planning materials and meet with admissions representatives. This free event will offer detailed information about the financial aid process provided through two important seminars presented by a knowledgeable Financial Aid Director.

“The colleges and universities represented are for students who want to receive sound academic preparation while integrating Christian world view and principles,” Pascua said. “We serve a special niche of students who value such an education. Last year this event was one of the top three attended of all the Christian college fairs in the nation.”
Besides William Jessup University, other institutions represented include Azusa Pacific University, Biola University, Westmont College, Point Loma Nazarene University and Seattle Pacific University. Schools from the Northeast, Texas and Canada will also be represented.

Light refreshments will be offered free to attendees. Bayside Church’s Café will also be open selling a variety of food and drinks.
