SACRAMENTO (OBSNews.com) - The City of Sacramento has gone live with a pay-by-phone service at more downtown parking lots, which will make paying for parking even easier for customers on the go. The service is now available at Lot D (12th & I St.), Lot X (2nd & N St.), Garcia Bend, and Miller Park parking lots operated by the City of Sacramento. The new service enables customers who are parking to simply take note of their space number and use their cell phone to pay for parking within a few minutes of parking. Customers can still use the Pay and Display Stations at the lots, which also accept credit cards, if they prefer not to pay by phone. |

Gift Wrapping & Pot Luck to Be Held Dec 3 at Sacramento Food Bank SACRAMENTO (OBSNews.com) - In preparation for the Toy Give-Away by the Oak Park Neighborhood Association (OPNA), the community is invited to the Gift Wrapping and Pot Luck dinner on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009 from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services at 3333 3rd Avenue. All are invited to join the festivities, bring some food, maybe a gift and or wrapping and get into the season of sharing. OPNA is collecting and will distribute gifts to Oak Park children for the 5th year. Each year, hundreds of children receive gifts and this year the number is likely to be even greater than previous years. The goal is to receive and distribute 1,200 gifts to grateful children. |
